Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me..."
Matthew 19:14
OAK HILL FARM / NURSERY
We provide care for ages birth to 4 years old for the entirety of our Sunday morning gathering in our nursery called Oak Hill Farm. The room has been prepared with a farm theme and encourages multi-sensory play. From spinning flowers, collecting vegetables, or digging in the "dirt" - this is a welcoming and engaging environment for some of our youngest members! As you enter the church lobby, one of our children’s ministry leaders would be happy to walk you down to our lower level and show you our nursery. If your child wants to stay and play, our volunteers will have you fill out our sign-in sheet. If your child would rather worship with you in the sanctuary there are toddler bags in the lobby full of quiet activities they can do during the service. Like any age of life here at Oak Hill, our mission is to participate in God’s mission toward the restoration of all things by doing what we can to create a loving environment for kids.
FRIENDSHIP ISLAND / CHILDREN’S CHURCH
Friendship Island is a fun and engaging children's church program designed for kids in grades K-5. It's a place where young hearts and minds can come together to learn about God's love, build friendships, and grow in faith—all while having a blast! **Children will be dismissed from service after our time of worship to go to Friendship Island! Visiting for the first time please stop by our Connection Center and fill out a Friendship Island registration form.
Key Features of Friendship Island
Bible Stories: Each lesson is based on a Bible story that teaches important Christian values such as love, kindness, forgiveness, and trust in God. The stories are adapted in ways that are engaging and easy for young children to understand.
Interactive Learning: Kids participate in hands-on activities like games, crafts, and skits that help bring the Bible stories to life. Through these activities, they can internalize the lessons in a fun and memorable way.
Friendship Building: A major emphasis of Friendship Island is on building friendships. Children are encouraged to work together in teams, share with one another, and support their friends as they navigate the lessons and challenges of the island. This helps them develop empathy, kindness, and cooperation.
Worship and Praise: Music plays a big part in the program, with lively, age-appropriate worship songs that help kids express their love for God. They can sing, dance, and participate in simple movements that make worship an active and joyful experience.
Community and Fellowship: Friendship Island isn't just about individual growth—it's about building a church community where kids feel loved and accepted. They can form bonds with their peers and adult leaders who mentor them in their faith journey.
Note: If you’re planning to visit for your first time and would like a tour of the kid’s rooms to see where your kids will be one of our leaders or welcome team members would love to show you!
We depend on the life of the Holy Spirit to move and breathe (Acts 17:28) in all our interactions with the kids, whether in teaching time or playtime together. We desire to cultivate a trusting spiritual space and pray as the kids grow they feel safe asking their questions and sharing what they notice as they become formed by the Spirit, guided by their parents and caregivers, and nourished here in the life of the church.
