The Garden of Eden, Bad News or Good News?

God

God who alone is uncreated, holy, and perfect spoke everything into existence.

Creation

All that began to exist was created by God who is eternally existent.

Mankind is Created

After the Garden of Eden was created, God created Adam and Eve to rule over all creation.

Rebellion

Adam and Eve were given instructions that all they needed was in the Garden. They could have anything they'd like but couldn't eat from the "Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil." For their disobedience God removed them from the Garden  of Eden--mankind, inheriting Adam's sin. From this point forward, mankind would be eternally separated from God and in rebellion against him.

The Redeemer

At The Fall of Adam, God promised a redeemer who would atone for the sins of mankind for all who believe. He would restore the relationship between God and Man, clothe man with his righteousness, and forgive all of man's sins. This redeemer is God in the flesh, Jesus, who lived sinlessly, paid sin's price, and applies the forgiveness of God to all who believe.

The New Heavens & New Earth

Once Jesus died, he rose three days later, ascending to Heaven. However, he promised his people that he would return again to usher in a New Heavens and New Earth where all who believe in him will dwell for eternity with no sin, death, pain, or suffering--restoring the Earth to its original state of perfection.
